NABERS Essentials

To: Learn more about our program.
Prerequisite courses: None.
Learn: The history and plans for the program, the spaces NABERS rates, why you should get a rating and how to improve it, the different parties involved and the legislation applicable.
Duration: Online course (1-2 hours).
Due to COVID-19, this course is now free to help train and upskill Australia's workforce.

Extend your Accreditation
For: Assessors
To: Extend your accreditation to another tool! Check out our extra accreditations available here.
Prerequisite modules: Note that anyone extending their accreditation to an Energy tool will need to complete the prerequisite Metering and Consumption module before enrolling in your chosen course.

Energy & Water for Offices
For: Any individual that would like to become a NABERS Energy & Water for Offices Assessor
This course contains three online modules and three associated exams:
- NABERS Assessor 101
- Metering and Consumption
- Energy & Water for Offices
Learn: Get an overview of all our different rating tools as well as how to read meters, follow single line diagrams and how to conduct a site visit. Learn how to calculate an Energy & Water rating for Offices and how to lodge rating data with NABERS Rate.
Supervised rating: After passing all three exams, your first rating application will be supervised. This is a key part of the NABERS training program. The cost of the supervision is included in your enrolment price.
PC only: You will need to use your own laptop (PC only) to complete the course and exam. Our offline rating program, NABERS Rate, does not work on MACs.
Duration: We recommend you set aside at least 2 full days to do the entire pathway. You will have 30 days to complete the final exam once opened.

Commercial Building Disclosure Course
For: Energy & Water for Offices Assessors
To: Become an Accredited CBD Assessor
Prerequisite courses: NABERS Assessor 101 & Energy & Water for Offices
Learn: How to conduct tenancy lighting assessments (TLA's) which are a key component of a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC).
Duration: 1 day webinar followed by an exam to be submitted within 30 days.

Energy & Water for Hotels
For: Any individual that would like to become a NABERS Energy & Water for Offices Assessor
This course contains three modules and three associated exams:
- NABERS Assessor 101
- Metering and Consumption
- Energy & Water for Hotels

On-site Renewable Energy Generation Systems
For: All Energy Assessors
Prerequisite courses: None
Learn: How to apply the new On-Site Renewable Energy Generation system Ruling to your ratings.
Duration: Online course (45 minutes) followed by an optional quiz to test your learnings.

Energy for Data Centres
For: Assessors and trainee Assessors
To: Become accredited to perform Energy ratings for Data Centres
Prerequisite modules: NABERS Assessor 101 & Metering and Consumption
Learn: How to conduct a Data Centre rating and how to carry out the three different types of Data Centre ratings including IT Equipment, Infrastructure and Whole Facility ratings. The new Metering and Consumption course is included in your enrolment.
PC only: You will need to use your own laptop (PC only) to complete the course and exam. Our offline rating program, NABERS Rate, does not work on MACs.
Duration: 1 day webinar followed by an exam to be submitted within 30 days.

Energy & Water for Shopping Centres
For: Assessors and trainee Assessors
To: Become accredited to perform Energy & Water ratings for Shopping Centres
Prerequisite courses: NABERS Assessor 101
Learn: How to perform a rating on retail centres including what data is needed.
Duration: Online course (6-7 hours) followed by an exam to be submitted within 30 days.
Other info: You will need to refer to the PCA Method of Measurement in order to complete this course. Don't have access to it? Purchase it here before you start.

Energy & Water for Apartment Buildings
For: Assessors and trainee Assessors
To: Become accredited to perform Energy & Water ratings for Apartment Buildings
Prerequisite courses: NABERS Assessor 101
Learn: How to calculate an Energy & Water rating for Apartment Buildings and the fundamentals of metering to assist in the calculation of a rating.
Duration: 1 day followed by an exam to be submitted within 30 days.
